Ode to Water

Oh water, how great you are

Bringing life and nourishment too all you touch

Whether we’re sad or whether we're sappy

You wet our parched throats and make us happy

You are the substance that allows those with you to flourish

And those without to suffer

You are the life in our veins

The reason we can live

You are the catalyst for change in the world no matter your form

Whether a vast sea allowing for exploration,

A humble pond supplying food for generations,

Or a raging river allowing for transportation

You are what we strive for and what we need

Thank you water
